U.S. Customs and Border Protection has just deployed ad hoc reporting capabilities for Account Management and Transactions reports. The new edit capabilities will allow users to further modify standard reports by selecting additional data elements not currently available in the report. Users will no longer be able to add “Available Objects” to standard reports but will use the “Edit Query” capability. Trade Account Owners and Proxy Trade Account Owners will also have the ability to create a customized report from scratch. Java 6 users will now have full edit capabilities.

Telephone training on the new edit capabilities for reports will be available to importers, brokers and truck carriers. Truck carrier ad hoc reports training will be conducted in both English and Spanish. Training is currently planned for September 17 through October 2. Registration information is forthcoming. Training will include such topics as running a modified report, using query filters, using wildcards, adding a query to a report and creating a customized report.
