Updated instructions on how to run ACE reports have just been posted to CBP.gov and can be found at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/automated/modernization/ace_welcome/ace_reports/.
There are two versions of this documents: 1) All Trade Users, Except Truck Carriers and 2) Truck Carriers.
The lengthy documents provide detailed, step by step instructions on how to run a standard report, how to modify a report by adding/deleting data elements and how to create a customized report from scratch. They provide helpful hints and instructions on how to filter, search, print, save and create charts and graphs. The "All Trade Users, Except Truck Carrier" version also includes a section describing the steps to schedule a bulk data download for reports that exceed the data limit of 60,000 rows.
