Subject: Delay of Computer System Changes for the Prior Notice Final Rule Implementation
In CSMS message 09-000338, it was announced that the changes to the ACS system to accommodate the Prior Notice Final Rule were planned for implementation on January 13, 2010. CBP is delaying the implementation for a short period of time. Filers who transmit their prior notice information through the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) should continue to use the current procedures (as described in CSMS message 09-000213).
Another CSMS message will be issued on this subject and is expected to have a date for filers to begin testing these changes in the CBP Certification (test) region as well as the new implementation date for production.
