The deployment of e-Manifest Rail and Sea on August 27, 2011 has revealed some CBP system transition issues that have primarily affected a small number of truck and ocean manifest service providers.
As a result of this deployment the EDI filing accounts of a very few truck manifest service centers have been temporarily disabled on several occasions, resulting in rejection of all of their EDI transactions until CBP was able to restore the accounts’ function.
In addition, there have been a very few ocean manifest service centers who have experienced slow response times as a result of this deployment.
System fixes are being identified and implemented to correct all of these issues.
