WASHINGTON – On October 18, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will host a free webinar on CBP's project to simplify procedures related to entry and financial processes. Online registration is now open on cbp.gov and closes 12 hours prior to the webinar.
The one-hour webinar will provide the trade community with the goals, status, and timeline of the project. It will conclude with a question and answer session. Highlights include:
Aligning CBP processes to those of industry
Options for reengineering the entry process
Streamlining the release of goods
Simplifying the filing of administrative entry data
Simplifying the collection of duties and taxes
CBP is hosting free trade webinars to provide timely and up-to-date information to the international trade community on CBP trade policies. The webinars are recorded and made available for subsequent on-demand viewing through cbp.gov.
