Title:Status on Release Date Issues
Date:2012-01-24

CBP is aware that ABI filers began having issues with release dates beginning with a code deployment on the evening of January 17, 2012 when the M1 team switched the manifest system of record from AMS to ACE. This change in system of record resulted in some issues with cargo release dates.

This has resulted in several issues impacting ABI filers that include a bad release date format (using the year 2020), a series of erroneous release date updates (via RR messages), and a failure to provide a release date to the filer when a hold is removed.

The development team has been working to get these issues fixed. A fix is scheduled to be deployed this evening to correct the manifest arrival issues impacting release dates and resulting in multiple release date updates.

Another fix is scheduled for this weekend to correct entries affected by the bad release date format (using the year 2020).

CBP continues to work on the fixes to these issues and the trade will be updated as information becomes available.

CBP Field Offices will be notified not to issue liquidated damages created by these systems issues.
