U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has recently added a new link to the Trade page on CBP.gov. The Trade Transformation page provides information on the Centers of Excellence and Expertise, Simplified Process, Role of the Broker and Trade Transformation Contact Information as well as a link to the ACE: Modernization Information System page. The Simplified Process page provides information on the Simplified Entry and Simplified Summary initiatives.
CBP has recently updated the “Simplified Entry Pilot Frequently Asked Questions: Technical” to include more information on the upcoming pilot. Questions and Answers fall into five categories: General, Bill of Lading, Pilot Requirements, Simplified Entry Data Elements and Cargo Release.
