U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Area Port of Boston is pleased to extend an invitation to the Greater Boston International Trade Community to attend Trade Day on Friday, April 13, 2012. This event will provide an opportunity for members of the Trade Community to meet with CBP and Participating Government Agency officials who are responsible for facilitating the importation of their goods.

The Trade Day activities will take place in the auditorium of the Thomas P. O’Neill Federal Building located at 10 Causeway Street in Boston, MA from 9:30 to 11:30 am. There is no cost to attend this event, but advance on-line registration is requested. Please go to http://bostontradeday2012.eventbrite.com to register for this event.
There will be no formal presentations. You are encouraged to bring your questions and to interact one-on-one with the regulatory professionals who are responsible for enforcing U.S. Trade laws, while processing and facilitating your import transactions. This event is intended as an opportunity for members of the Trade Community to meet members of the Federal Agencies who regulate imports, gain information that is relevant to your specific issues, and establish contacts for future reference.

In addition to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the following Agencies have confirmed their participation: Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms, Tax and Trade Bureau; U.S. Fish & Wildlife; U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspectional Services and U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The following agencies have been invited to participate: Environmental Protection Agency; Consumer Product Safety Commission; Department of Transportation; Federal Communications Commission; Department of Commerce; National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, and Massport.

An update to this message will be issued with a final list of participants prior to the event.

The Thomas P. O’Neill Federal Building is located one block from the North Station T stop and accessible via the Orange Line, Green Line, and Commuter Rail. Public parking is available at the TD Garden Garage or on Lomasney Way. For early arrivals, a cafeteria is located in the building on the 2nd floor and a Dunkin Donuts is across from the front entrance of the building.
