Since the implementation of ACE as the system of record for the FTZ program, the edit described in the FT 40 record in FTZ Chapter of the CATAIR is being enforced.
The FT40 record states house bills are to be sent for air shipments only. If the MOT is other than 40 or 41, space fill.
Should a filer send a house bill or anything other than spaces in positions 38 – 47 in the FT 40 record for MOTs 10 or 11, he must follow the steps below to make the correction.
1) Delete the admission using Action Code D in the FT 10 record
2) Add the admission using Action Code A in the FT 10 record
3) Concur
Should one transmit a house bill for MOT 30, he must contact their Client Representative for assistance.
CBP is working to program a rejection if a house bill is sent in an admission for MOT 10, 11, or 30. A CSMS will be issued when the change is moved to production.
