On August 21 CBP issued CSMS# 12-000322 - Expansion of the Export Manifest DIS Pilot
As a supplement to that notice we are attaching technical requirements for submitting the ocean export manifest via DIS Email.
This document provides guidance on the data and technical format required by CBP on Export Manifest email submissions to DIS. Carriers should refer to official government notifications provided via formal letters and FRNs for legal guidelines. The contents of this document do not seek to supersede those guidelines. The Technical Requirements are also posted on cbp.gov on the ACE Modernization & Information Systems “Export” site. See link below: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/automated/modernization/exports/
To participate in this process, carriers must refer to these technical requirements for submitting their manifests. To register for the pilot see the registration information below.
