WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that onsite participation for its annual East Coast Trade Symposium scheduled for Oct. 29-30, 2012 is now closed; however, the webcast registration is still an option. Access to live webcasting of the event will be available for a fee of $131.00. This includes two days of broadcast and historical access to recorded sessions for a period of time after the event.

Registration for webcast participation must be made online at the CBP website at https://apps.cbp.gov/tradesymposium/?w=13.

The CBP East Coast Trade Symposium will be held at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. It will feature panel discussions involving agency personnel, members of the trade community, and other government agencies on the agency's role in international trade initiatives and programs. Panels will cover a variety of topics such as Global Supply Chain Security, Beyond the Border Initiatives, Centers for Excellence and Expertise, the Role of the Broker, ACE and Trusted Trader Programs.

This year marks the 12-year anniversary of the CBP East Coast Trade Symposium. The theme this year is Expanding 21st Century Global Partnerships. To obtain the latest information on symposium events, visit the CBP web site at http://cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_outreach/2012_tradesymp/.
