This is a reminder to everyone filing ACE ABI In-Bond transactions. As you transition to ACE, please be aware that you must nominate yourself as a secondary notify party in the ACE ABI in-bond transaction. If you fail to nominate yourself and the carrier has not nominated you, you will not receive any of the subsequent status notifications related to the in-bond filing.

Additional Information for ABI Software Developers ONLY:
- ABI In-Bond (ABI application identifier ‘QP’) Filers Will Not Automatically Receive Status Notifications (ABI application identifier ‘NS’)
- ABI In-Bond filers must include themselves as an SNP in the QP32 record in order to receive status notifications unless they are being named as an SNP by the carrier.
- The port code in the Q32 record should be the ‘processing’ port or the port code shown in the ‘B’ record.
Please keep in mind that if you set the default so that your client is named as the SNP on every QP transaction they may get two Status Notification (NS) messages if the carrier has also listed them as an SNP. In that case, one will be an NS05 and one will be an NS10.
