On November 2, 2013, CBP successfully deployed ACE Deployment A, the first deployment of new ACE functionality developed using the Agile development methodology. Deployment A included new ACE Cargo Release enhancements; implementation of PGA Message Set features to support upcoming pilots with the Environmental Protection Agency and Food Safety and Inspection Service; and new Entry Summary Validations for tariff classification and Harbor Maintenance Fees. Concurrent with Deployment A, CBP also implemented a required software upgrade for ACE reports.
All capabilities were successfully implemented and are performing as expected.
