Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be incorporating the Periodic Monthly Statement chapter currently located in the ACS-ABI CATAIR into the ACE-ABI CATAIR. There are no record layout and no data definition changes being made. The ACE MS application will be identical to the ACS MS application.
However, new functionality, Periodic Monthly Statement – Request Reroute, using the MO application identifier has been developed for trade participants. This is an optional functionality being scheduled for implementation in late fall to early winter timeframe of 2013. An Automated Broker Interface (ABI) filer will have the capability with this application to request the periodic monthly statements to be rerouted through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system.
Draft ACE ABI CATAIR chapters have been posted to the CBP website located at the link below and is titled “Periodic Monthly Statement – For Future Release”.
