This is to notify all stakeholders that the FDA Los Angeles District Import Operation Branch currently located in San Pedro, CA. will officially be moving to a new office located in Long Beach, CA. on Friday, March 14, 2014. As such, the office will be closed starting Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. PST and will reopen on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. PST. Due to the physical move and system migration, there will be limited to no access to our phone, fax, email and courier service etc. during the move period. A copy of the Los Angeles District Import Operation Branch new communication procedures may be requested via email @ LAimports@fda.hhs.gov . Other FDA Los Angeles District Import Operations Offices, example the LAX Office or the Ontario Airport Offices, will remain open during the move period.

The new office address is:
Food and Drug Administration Los Angeles District, Import Operations
One World Trade Center, Suite 300
Long Beach, CA 90831
Tel: (562) 256-7700
Fax: (562) 256-7701

Please note broker boxes will be no longer be utilized at the new office. Building an Import Operation office for the future requires us to think beyond programmatic lines. To keep up with the pace of change in technology and the new expectations that requires the Federal Government to be ready to deliver and receive digital information and services anytime, anywhere and on any device means the broker box system is outdated. Please request the Los Angeles District Import Operations communication procedures and guidelines via email @ LAimports@fda.hhs.gov for the processes that will replace the broker box system.
Again, the office will reopen on Monday, March 17, 2014, and all services will resume back to normal
