U.S. Customs and Border Protection South Florida Ports of Entry will be hosting their first Trade Day Event on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Trade Day activities will be held in the main lobby and second floor conference room of the Cargo Clearance Center, 6601 NW 25 Street, Miami, Florida. There is no cost to attend this event. A registration desk will be located in the main lobby; all attendees are requested to register upon arrival.

There will be no formal presentations. Attendees are encouraged to bring their concerns and to personally interact with government officials responsible for processing and facilitating trade related import transactions and enforcing various trade laws. This event is intended as an opportunity for members of the Trade Community to meet with representatives of the Federal Agencies who regulate imports, gain insight that is relevant to specific issues and establish contacts for future reference.

CBP representatives that will be in attendance at this event include: Import Specialists, Entry Specialists, Paralegal Specialists, Agriculture Specialists, Cargo Officers, Agriculture and Prepared Products, Center of Excellence and Expertise (CEE), Regulatory Auditors, International Trade Specialists, and the CBP Miami C-TPAT office.
Additionally, representatives from Homeland Security Investigations and partner government agencies such as, the Food and Drug Administration, Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (FSIS) will be in attendance.
