The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Port of Charlotte will hold its inaugural Trade Day event, in conjunction with the Charlotte International Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association (IFFCBA). Trade Day 2014 is scheduled to be held in two identical sessions from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Charlotte Police & Fire Training Academy, 1770 Shopton Road, Charlotte, NC 28217. There is no cost to attend.

This event will provide the trade community with an opportunity to meet and interact with Charlotte CBP trade staff and representatives from participating government agencies (PGAs) who are recognized as CBP partners in trade. The PGAs attending will include CPSC, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, ATF, EPA, and more. Brief introductory remarks by each PGA will be followed by an interactive forum.

Trade Day will be relevant, informative, and a great opportunity to communicate one-on-one with government officials who are responsible for processing and facilitating trade related import transactions, while enforcing numerous trade laws.
