As announced in CSMS#14-000277 issued on 5/13/14 the new ACE validations to ensure that data is not submitted in fields (also known as filler fields) to be reported as spaces in ACE ABI control records (A, B, Y, and Z records) are scheduled to be deployed to ACE Production on 6/28/14.
The validations have already been deployed in ACE Certification (as of 5/7/14) and testing of transactions may be performed there.
The following identifies the data fields on the ACE ABI control records which are filler fields (space only to be reported) for which a reject will be returned. The reject will be fatal and will indicate “DATA FOUND IN FILLER” at the block and batch level. Consequently, the reject will only include A, B, Y, and Z records giving the impression that there was no response to the input transmission.
These filler fields are documented in the ACE ABI CATAIR Batch & Block Control chapter and are listed below:
A-Record, positions 23-25, 28-37, and 40-59
B-Record, positions 13-44 and 57-59
Y-Record, positions 2-3, 18-44, and 47-80
Z-Record, positions 23-37 and 40-80
Again, these new ACE control record validations are scheduled to be deployed to ACE Production on 6/28/14.
