On January 3, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) deployed core trade processing capabilities into the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) that complete ACE Deployment D. The new capabilities are fully explained in Information Notices for CBP (posted to the CBP internal ACE Central SharePoint site), for the trade community (posted to CBP.gov/ACE) and for the Partner Government Agencies (disseminated to the ITDS Board of Directors on December 23, 2014). See below for a summary of the new and enhanced ACE capabilities:

Manifest:
---------
• In addition to normal processing in the Air Automated Manifest System (AMS), CBP will begin processing air manifest data in ACE on January 11, 2015.
• In February 2015, filers will be able to work with their Client Reps to test electronic air manifest data in the Certification environment to ensure it can be successfully processed in ACE.
• CBP will provide ACE air manifest training to all impacted ports in preparation for the May 2015 shutdown of the legacy Air Automated Manifest System (AMS).
• CBP encourages all filers and carriers to review the published Implementation Guides and listed changes to make sure they are in compliance before the transition to ACE as the system of record for Air Manifest.
• Effective May 1, 2015, all electronic manifests must be filed in ACE.

Cargo Release:
--------------
• For ocean, rail and air shipments, ACE cargo release filers can now transmit Antidumping/Countervailing Duty entries (Entry type 03) to ACE.
• Code was deployed to production in support of advanced truck shipment processing in ACE. CBP will announce when ACE cargo release will be operationally expanded to include advanced capabilities for truck shipments.
• In addition to new development, CBP deployed updated code to the Certified from Summary capabilities. The updated Implementation Guides are posted on CBP.gov/ACE. CBP encourages filers to work with their Client Reps to test Certified from Summary in the Certification environment for ocean, rail and air shipments.
Notification on Certified from Summary for truck shipments will be issued in the near future.

Entry Summary, Accounts and Revenue – eBond:
--------------------------------------------
• CBP can now receive and validate Single Transaction Bonds, Continuous Bonds, and Bond Riders electronically from a Surety or Surety Agent, or through the eBond Portal for the Office of Administration.
• CBP can provide bond status updates electronically to sureties/surety agents and secondary notify parties.
• A new bond user interface and capabilities are available for CBP users.
• Bond validations are in place for ACE Cargo Release and ACE Entry Summary.
• Enhanced Trade user interfaces are in place to allow for location of Single Transaction Bonds.

Exports:
--------
• Capabilities in support of Ocean/Rail export manifest processing have been deployed to production. Initiation of the export manifest pilots are pending publication of Federal Register Notices.

Partner Government Agency Integration (Single Window):
------------------------------------------------------
• Capabilities were deployed to production in support of the integration of Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) into the Single Window. CBP and the PGAs will publish further information once these capabilities are available to users in a pilot mode.
