U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Area Port of Boston is pleased to extend an invitation to the Greater Boston International Trade Community to attend Trade Day on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. This event will provide an opportunity for members of the Trade Community to meet with CBP and Participating Government Agency (PGA) officials who are responsible for facilitating the importation of their goods, and to establish contacts for future reference.

The Trade Day activities will take place in the auditorium of the Thomas P. O’Neill Federal Building located at 10 Causeway Street in Boston, MA from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with representatives from the PGAs and CBP officials. There is no cost to attend this event, but advance registration is required. Registration is limited; please find attached registration instructions for this event. Please plan to arrive by 8:15 am to check-in.

In addition to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the following Government Agencies have confirmed their participation: U.S. Fish & Wildlife; U.S. Department of Agriculture; U.S. Food & Drug Administration; U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, and U.S. Department of Commerce.

There will be a total of four breakout sessions this year.

Two breakout sessions for the following PGAs: U.S. Food and Drug Administration -Import Operations Update and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service - Import/Export Declaration & Clearance.

There will be two breakout sessions provided by CBP Supervisory Entry Specialist - How to Prepare for a Broker Visit and Entry Cancellations; and Supervisory Import Specialist - Additions to Transaction Value and Offsetting. There will be Questions and Answers during each breakout session. Pre-registration is required for both Trade Day and the breakout sessions. Attached you can find Registration information.

An ACE Ambassador as well as Client Representatives will be present to address questions concerning CBP's Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). If you have specific questions that may require some research and would like to discuss them with the representatives, we encourage you to submit your questions in advance of the event. The Thomas P. O’Neill Federal Building is located one block from the North Station T stop and accessible via the Orange Line, Green Line, and Commuter Rail. Public parking is available at the TD Garden Garage or at the Garden Garage on Lomasney Way. For early arrivals, coffee shops and fast food outlets are located across from the front entrance of the Federal building and a cafeteria is located in the building on the 2nd floor.

It is strongly recommended that you allow plenty of time to be cleared through building security to ensure you arrive at the event on time.
