The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Port of Charlotte will hold its second annual Trade Day event, in conjunction with the Charlotte International Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association (IFFCBA). Trade Day 2015 is scheduled to be held in two sessions from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon and from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Charlotte Police & Fire Training Academy, 1770 Shopton Road, Charlotte, NC 28217-2937. There is no cost to attend.

This event will provide the trade community with an opportunity to meet and interact with Charlotte CBP trade staff and representatives from other government agencies who are recognized as CBP partners in trade (PGAs). The morning session will consist of PGA presentations concerning current trade trends and issues. The afternoon session will allow for a more interactive opportunity to meet with the individual government agencies and discuss any issues or questions in a one-on-one environment. The PGAs attending will include CPSC, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, ATF, FDA, and more.

Trade Day will be relevant, informative, and a great opportunity to communicate one-on-one with multiple government officials who are responsible for processing and facilitating trade related import and export transactions, while enforcing numerous trade laws.

To register, contact IFFCBA representative Dan Zupko at dan.zupko@teamww.com. Advance registration for the afternoon session is highly recommended due to space limitations, and so that sufficient handouts may be prepared. For additional questions, contact Import Specialist Jeff Sorrells at jeffrey.t.sorrells@dhs.gov at 704-329-6130.
