FDA has made additions and modifications to the Center for Veterinary Medicine's (CVM’s) product codes.
Under Industry 70 ( “Animal Food(Non-Medicated Feed and Feed Ingreds)” ), Class “A” was formerly titled “Whole/Ground Grains Animal” and has been renamed “Ground Grains Animal”. Class “A” should now only be used to identify ground grains. A new Class “D” titled “Whole Grains Animal” has been created for whole grains and the following new product codes are available under that class:

70D[][]02 Corn, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]03 Oats, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]04 Rice, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]05 Rye, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]06 Sorghums, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]07 Wheat, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]08 Mixed Grains, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]09 Soybeans, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]10 Cottonseed, Whole Grains Animal
70D[][]99 Whole Grains Animal, N.E.C.
