The Food And Drug Administration is adding the following new PIC and Subclass Codes which will
be effective in 30 days on 9/20/15 for use under Industry Code 98 – Tobacco Products:

PIC CODES:

A For Consumer Use
B For Further Manufacturing
C For Investigational Use

SUBCLASS CODES:

A Unflavored
B Flavored (Menthol)
C Flavored (Other)

Tobacco lines transmitted without a subclass and PIC will be rejected starting 9/20/15.

The Food And Drug Administration has added the following new Class Codes and which will become effective in 30 days, 9/20/15 days for use under Industry Code 98 - Tobacco Products:

F Roll-Your-Own Tobacco Component, Part or Accessory

98D--06 Roll-Your-Own Tobacco, Bulk
98E--01 Cigarette Paper
98E--02 Cigarette Filters
98E--03 Cigarette Tipping Paper
98F—01 Roll-Your-Own Paper
98F--02 Roll-Your-Own Filters
