During the course of a Cargo Release or Entry Summary review, CBP may determine that a document previously submitted to DIS is insufficient. If such a determination is made, CBP has the ability to reject that document. If a document is rejected in DIS, the filer will receive a message in the same manner the document was originally submitted (EDI or email) containing the reject notice and reason for rejection.
