Tuna Quota Opening Date:
Tuesday, January 3, 2017, starting 12am midnight E.S.T. to 12pm Noon.

Tuna Quota Filers in ACE will need to do the following:

File certified from summary or warehouse withdrawals for Tuna using the following high rate HTS’s: 1604143051, 1604143059, 1604143091, and 1604143099. Cargo entries should be filed as Entry type 02. The System will check arrival date, the date of payment if not scheduled for statement, and the date of transmission of the summary. The latter of these three dates will be the date of presentation.

Warehouse entries should be filed as entry type 32. The system will check the date that payment was made if not scheduled for statement, and the date of transmission of the summary. The latter of these two dates will be the date of presentation.

There will be a 72 hour hold to ensure Trade issues are addressed. At the end of the 72 hour window the hold will be removed and the pending quota lines will be “preliminary” allocated. Final quota allocations with be issued after NMFS posts the quota limit.

NMFS mandates submission of the 370 forms, and associated documentation such as Captains statements, are still required.

NMFS International Fisheries Trade Permit (IFTP) number is also required.
