The ACE Air Import Manifest CERTIFICATION environment has been updated to activate transmission FSN messages reporting additional in-bond and local transfer related disposition codes for trade testing.
The primary purpose of activating these disposition codes related to Mode of Transport: Air transactions is to enable CBP entry filers electing to provide electronic in-bond departure detail via ACE applications QP and WP to receive immediate notification in the event the incoming air carrier, or other party related to BOL (e.g. the originator of house shipment information) cancels air shipment transfer detail or the entire BOL.
ACE Air participants are reminded that as the Remarks field of Message Line Identifier CSN (CBP Status Notification) is limited to 20 characters, the descriptive text previously defined with ACE Multi Modal Manifest Ocean/Rail deployment in 2012 will be truncated to the first 20 characters as shown in the table below. Please note that there are two possible texts for disposition code 12, depending on how the in-bond is arrived -- CAMIR ASN3 message, CATAIR WP, or CBP Officer manual action.
