On July 22, 2017, the ACE Technical team is planning to remove four-digit foreign port codes, which are supposed to be five-digits, from the reference table of valid Foreign Port (Schedule K) Codes. When the foreign port code has a leading zero, a few carriers and filers have been omitting the first digit when filing a manifest, QP in-bond, or entry summary via EDI.
After July 22nd, providing a four-digit foreign port code in the aforementioned EDI transactions will result in an Invalid Foreign Port Code error.
