At approximately 3:30 p.m. EST yesterday November 14, 2017, CBP experienced issues with an Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) database. As a result, the ACE Portal and EDI capabilities were rendered unavailable to all users and multiple modules were unable to process cargo.

At 4:57 p.m. EST, November 14, 2017 CBP provided instructions to the field to invoke downtime procedures at all ports of entry. These downtime procedures were established consistent with national policy.

CBP intends to provide on a national basis one additional day for payments attempted to be made on November 14, 2017. CBP will work with members of the trade community that were impacted by this outage. If needed, CBP will provide support on an individual basis and address any payment issues during this outage.

CBP appreciates your patience as we have worked through this critical issue. Please address questions to Randy Mitchell, Director, Commercial Operations, Revenue and Entry, CBP Office of Trade, at otentrysummary@cbp.dhs.gov, or AskACE@cbp.dhs.gov.
