Harmonized System Update (HSU) 1709 was created on December 25, 2017 and contains 2,415 ABI records and 489 harmonized tariff records.
This update contains modifications mandated by the Presidential Proclamation, To Take Certain Action under the African Growth and Opportunity Act, And for Other Purposes, issued December 22, 2017. Many, but not
all, of the adjustments are effective on January 1, 2018. The changes will be published within the change record, and chapters, of the 2018 USHTS. In the meantime, the proclamation can be accessed using the link below…
Modifications required by the verification of the 2017 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) are included also.
