The Port of Norfolk-Newport News will continue to be closed through Friday, January 5, 2018 due to inclement weather, and hazardous travel conditions.
On January 4, 2018 and January 5, 2018, local closure days are granted to all who file entries at the Port of Norfolk-Newport News. CBP is extending two additional days, without penalty, for any entry summaries and payments of duties that were due on January 4, 2018 and January 5, 2018 in the Port of Norfolk-Newport News. If you have questions please contact: Assistant Area Port Director Andrew Kralik at 757-620-3842 or the Duty Watch Commander at 757-435-2787 (Day) / 757-644-7593 (Night).
It is anticipated the Port will resume normal business operations on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 0800 hours. This is dependent on road and weather conditions allowing for business resumption. CBP will continue to work with our local stakeholders to insure services are provided as quickly as possible.
