CBP has identified an issue when it is mandatory for the trade to submit a reference qualifier and reference ID for every FT60 record the filer provides. Until the issue is resolved CBP requests the filer only use the FT60 record for providing reference qualifiers MID, IM, STL and DIA with the appropriate reference ID. If the filer uses the FT60 as a description only, CBP is incorrectly rejecting. In instances where the filer wants to put a description of the merchandise, CBP requests the filer use the FT61 record until the issue is resolved. CBP will be deploying the fix on May 12, 2018.
