CBP plans to complete the upgrade to Business Objects 4.2 Service Pack (SP) 5 on Monday, September 10, 2018, at which point ACE Reports users should be able resume creating and saving new ad-hoc reports, as well as modifying already-existing reports.
This upgrade will involve new features available to users, some of which are highlighted below. Please note that not all of the 4.2 features listed on SAP's website will be available to ACE Reports users. CBP will be updating the ACE Reports User Guide to reflect these new features.
New Options for Data Visualization
In design mode, there will be new options available for visualizing the data generated in reports. These include geographic, tree, and heat maps.
New Export Format Options
Users will be able to export reports in HTML, PDF, XSLX, and ZIP formats.
Functionality Available in HTML Mode:
Version 4.2 contains functionality in HTML mode that was only available in applet mode in version 4.1. This includes the functionality available under the Numbers, Analysis, Tools, and Data Access tabs in Design mode.
HTML Mode
ACE Reports users should ensure that they remain in HTML mode. The user preferences still has applet mode available as an option, but it is no longer supported by SAP.
If you have questions about whether specific features are available to ACE Reports users, please send an e-mail with your question to ace.reports@cbp.dhs.gov.
