Below is a summary of three enhancements/fixes that were accomplished over the weekend of 4/12 - 4/14.
e-Manifest coversheets can now be printed for drivers with apostrophes
Prior to April 12 carriers that filed e-Manifests via the ACE Secure Data Portal were not able to print an e-Manifest coversheet if the driver's name contained an apostrophe. For example if a trip was submitted with “Patrick O’Brian” as the driver the carrier would not be able to print the coversheet. As of April 12th they can now print the coversheet.
Access to create crew repaired
Some Proxy Trade Account Owners (PTAOs) have not been able to access the Create Crew button for the purpose of adding new, non-FAST drivers, to ACE and their carrier account. As of April 12th these PTAOs can now add drivers to their account
Reporting the export of a Transportation & Exportation (T&E) or Immediate Export (IE) can now be done via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in ACE e-Manifest
As of April 12, 2008 truck carriers will be able to report the export of in-bond T&Es and I.E.s by using e-Manifest EDI messages. In addition, carriers will be able to report the arrival and export of multiple in-bond shipments by container/equipment numbers if the shipments in that container/equipment are destine for the same U.S. in-bond destination.
