Two new ACE CATAIR reference documents were recently posted to CBP.GOV These documents are additional tools to assist ABI filers preparing for the transition of filing entry summaries in ACE.
The “ACE ABI CATAIR Entry Summary Create/Update Filing and Response Scenarios” document provides examples of various ACE responses to syntax, filing action and data validation rules. The “ACE ABI CATAIR Entry Summary Examples” document provides samples of how the same entry summaries are formatted to be filed in both ACS and ACE.

In addition, due to extensive, constructive feedback from members of the trade community during recent technical seminars, CBP will be redesigning the ACE ABI CATAIR Entry Summary Query transaction. Improvements will include additional query criteria, new options for output, and additional entry summary status information. The Entry Summary Query ACE ABI CATAIR chapter has been removed from the CBP website and will be replaced will a new Entry Summary Query. Please do not use the May 19, 2008 version of this chapter for development.
