Previously issued and now revised ACE ABI CATAIR chapters and other reference documents have recently been posted to CBP.GOV

The revised chapters include (these documents are complete replacements to previous versions):

“Entry Summary Create/Update”,

“Entry Summary Status Notification”, and the

“Table of Contents”.

Revised reference documents also published include:

“ACE Entry Summary Examples”,

“ACS to ACE Entry Summary Condition Cross Reference”, and

“ACS to ACE Entry Summary Record Layout Cross Reference”.

In addition, a revised “Change Record – 2008” has also been posted to CBP.GOV to identify the chapters recently revised. Individual chapters contain a Table of Changes which lists all changes made to the document by section including a brief description of the change.

CSMS #08-000119 announced that the ACE ABI CATAIR chapters “Entry Summary Query” and “Census Warning Query” were to be revised based on feedback from the trade community. However, work continues on re-designing these transactions. Their implementation has been deferred until after the release of initial entry summary processing in ACE. Filers may continue to use the ACS “Query Entry Summary” (Application Identifiers JI/JR) for ACE filed entry summaries until such time that the ACE “Entry Summary Query” is available. Filers may also continue to use the existing ACE “Census Warning Query”.
