Title:Additional Changes to ABI and AMS Importer Security Filing (ISF) Pending Transaction Sets

In CSMS #09-000148, dated March 31, 2009, CBP identified a number of upcoming programming changes to the Importer Security Filing (ISF) transaction sets. That message includes many changes effective no sooner than May 18, 2009. A link to the pending transaction sets can be found on the 10+2 page at:

The following list includes additional changes which will also become effective at the same time. You will be notified approximately one to two weeks in advance via subsequent CSMS message when a definitive date is determined.

>> SF10 Record Changes:

1. The data element status of the ISF Bond Holder was changed from 'C' conditional to 'M' mandatory.

2. The data element status of the ISF Bond Type was changed from 'C' conditional to 'M' mandatory.

>> SF50 Record Changes:

1. The data element length/class of the Foreign Port of Unlading was changed from '15N' numeric to '15AN' alpha-numeric.

2. The data element length/class of the Place of Delivery was changed from '15N' numeric to '15AN' alpha-numeric.

3. The explanation of Note 1 is expanded.
