The purpose of this message is to clarify an error message that may be received when filing an entry summary in ACS or ACE with both an antidumping and countervailing duty case on the same line. When such an entry summary is filed, ACS or ACE may generate an error message that states "WARNING - CASES NOT RELATED". This message is imprecise and should be interpreted as "WARNING - CASES MAY NOT BE RELATED." This message will be changed in ACS and ACE in the near future to specifically state "WARNING - CASES MAY NOT BE RELATED."
When the error message "WARNING - CASES NOT RELATED" or "WARNING - CASES MAY NOT BE RELATED" is received, filers should check the applicable cash deposit instructions available in ACE or contact the U.S. Department of Commerce to confirm the applicable AD/CVD cases to be transmitted on the entry. Unofficial copies of public AD/CVD instructions are also available at http://addcvd.cbp.gov.
