The Document Image System (DIS) facilitates automated submission of documents and specific data by participating Trade Partners to CBP. The submitted documents are electronically processed and securely stored by CBP, and are made available for review by CBP and Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) via the DIS application. In July 2013, the DIS program expanded the eligible forms supported and the participant eligibility to ACE Entry Summary Filers, in addition to ACE Cargo Release filers and other previously supported submissions.

ACE Entry Summary filers or Software Providers interested in participating in the Document Imaging System (DIS) should follow these guidelines:

• Contact your assigned Client Representative indicating your interest in DIS.

• Your Client Representative will provide you with an Onboarding document which requests specific information about how you will be transmitting DIS documents to CBP. Complete the document and return it to your Client Representative.

• Your Client Representative will then provide you with information on the DIS protocols and any necessary testing requirements.

• If you are establishing a new communications link, an ISA (Interconnection Security Agreement) may be required. If necessary, this document will also be provided to you by your Client Representative.

• Once an ISA is completed, or if already in place from an existing connection, communications links will be established and any necessary testing can begin.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact your assigned Client Representative.
