U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has published two Federal Register Notices (FRNs) (79 FR 24744 and 79 FR 25142) announcing modifications to the ACE Cargo Release (formerly known as Simplified Entry) National Customs Automation Program (NCAP) Test. Modifications in the two notices include the ability for importers and customs brokers to now certify cargo release from the ACE Entry Summary and the expansion of the test to the truck mode of transportation.
