Title:Harmonized System Updates (HSU) 1608, 1609 and 1610

Harmonized System Update (HSU) 1608 was created on July 14, 2016 and contains 524 ABI records and 117 harmonized tariff records. Harmonized System Update (HSU) 1609 was created on July 21, 2016 and
contains 1,716 ABI records and 336 harmonized tariff records. Finally, Harmonized System Update (HSU) 1610 was created on August 4, 2016 and contains 12,995 ABI records and 2,827 harmonized tariff records.

Changes and corrections within HSU 1608 include those made as a result of the Presidential Proclamation
9466, To Implement the World Trade in Information Technology Products and for Other Purposes. These

Modifications within HSU 1609 include those made to support new ACE LPC functionality.

The definitions for the recently added LPC codes can be found in the Entry Summary Create/Update chapter
of the ACE CATAIR.

HSU 1610 contains adjustments made as result of a recent FDA Deeming Rule for Tobacco, effective August 8, 2016. More information can be found on the FDA's website, or by using the link below…

Further modifications include the addition of EPA PGA indicators to be used with PGA Message Set
submissions.

As a result of recently deployed ACE functionality, this latest update also contain changes made to assistwith resolution with issues related to licenses, permits, and certificates (LPC).

Adjustments required by the verification of the 2016 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) are included also.
